A vase to remember.
Soda fired rustic hand thrown curvy ceramic vase. Soda glazed in an atmospheric firing that created nice flashing effects on the white stoneware clay body surface. Soda glaze from firing created a kind of off grey, light lavender gloss surface with some iron spotting and the occasional matte orange brown flashing. Interior has a white glazed liner that also reacted beautifully to atmospheric firing. It is about 5.5 inches high, has approximately a 4.25 inch mouth and is 4.5 inches at its widest. Bottoms of some high fired atmospheric pieces can have some sanding and grinding to remove stuck wading and excess soda and glaze drips.
